The Neptunian Woman's Club
The annual South Bay Chili Cook Off was founded in part by the Neptunian Woman’s Club in 2014, to benefit the Manhattan Beach Firefighters’ Burn Foundation. Held at the Manhattan Beach Fire Station executive and local chefs compete for bragging rights for the top three “Best Chilis” as voted for by attendees. Open to children of all ages and adults, the afternoon offers beverages, desserts, a DJ and best of all, interaction with the firefighters from 2-4pm. This year there is a VIP Party, presented by Plaza Bank, on the roof top of their downtown Manhattan Beach location from 4:30-7pm available as well.
